All Connemara residents and their guests may enjoy the pool if they are current on HOA dues.
A RESIDENT OF THE HOUSEHOLD MUST BE PRESENT WITH ANY GUEST (see guest policy below).
Pool hours are 11am to 9pm Sunday thru Thursday, 11am to 10pm Friday and Saturday. Any swimming outside of this time (i.e. early morning exercise requires prior permission).
All persons using the pool do so at their own risk.
A lifeguard is on duty every day of summer break and on weekends in the fall.
No horseplay in the pool or on the deck. (i.e. running, pushing, dunking or climbing on the guard stand).
No diving in the shallow end.
Gum chewing, pets, bicycles, scooters, skateboards or tennis balls are not allowed within the pool area.
Smoking/Vaping is not allowed on the pool deck or on the sidewalk. Guests wishing to smoke/vape must do so in the parking lot.
Glassware or breakable containers are not allowed. Complimentary plastic cups are available in the guard shack.
Everyone using the pool is responsible for disposing of his or her own trash in the provided trash cans. Please help keep your pool area clean and ant free.
APPROPRIATE SWIM ATTIRE IS REQUIRED
BABIES AND TODDLERS MUST WEAR SWIM DIAPERS & RUBBER PANTS. Potty accidents result in the pool being closed due to health concerns with E. coli and other infections. Please be considerate of your neighbors when bringing little ones to the pool and come prepared. If your infant does not have a pair of rubber pants, ask the lifeguard for a complimentary pair. Let’s keep the pool open!
THE LIFEGUARDS DO NOT GUARD THE BABY POOL. Parents are fully responsible for their children.
There is a 15-minute adult swim period hourly (XX:45 to XX:00). THE LIFEGUARD IS NOT ON DUTY DURING THIS BREAK AND EVERYONE UNDER 18 IS REQUIRED TO BE OUT OF THE WATER.
As a courtesy to parents with young children, parents may have a non-swimming infant age 3 or under in the pool with them during Adult Swim. The child is the complete responsibility of the parent.
UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN:
Children ages 10 through 17 are allowed to swim without an adult (18+ years old) present as long as:
- A lifeguard is on duty
- the pool rules are adhered to.
- The emergency contact information has been completed. (Request a copy from the guard on duty or via email to Jeanine Dockstader jdocks@comcast.net). This allows the child to swim without adult supervision.
- Lifeguards may test the child to swim the length of the pool as a safety requirement.
- Unaccompanied swimming is a privilege – and will be revoked if the child causes a disturbance for the lifeguard.
GUESTS:
A guest is someone who does not live in Connemara. A RESIDENT MUST ACCOMPANY THEIR GUESTS AND MEET THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS: A Connemara resident must be 15+ years old to bring a guest. The only exception to this rule is a Connemara resident of any age may be accompanied by an adult direct relative. Each household is allowed up to 5 guests per day without prior notification to the lifeguard on duty. This limit applies as a safety requirement. Bringing more than 5 guests is considered a pool party. This requires bringing in an extra guard at the resident’s expense. Soliciting other residents who are at the pool to be responsible for your guests is not allowed.
**(For example, an eight-year-old Connemara Resident may bring their Grandparents to the pool, but, an eight-year-old Connemara Resident may not be bring their 12 year old cousin to the pool unless they are accompanied by an adult direct relative (Direct Relatives are: Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins)
Any variation from these rules requires an exception from Jeanine Dockstader jdocks@comcast (i.e., early morning therapy / exercise before the pool opens).
Pool Parties
It is considered a party if a household brings more than 5 guests with them to the pool. An extra lifeguard is required for pool parties as a safety concern at the resident’s expense. The number of lifeguards quoted to you will be determined by the quantity of swimmers and type of party you are holding. (i.e., it is a far greater safety concern for a class of 1st graders, than the Brookwood HS Swim Team).
Pool parties must be scheduled in advance before you come to the pool by contacting Jeanine Dockstader jdocks@comcast.net. If your party is not arranged in advance, you will be asked to leave the pool area.
Soliciting other residents who are at the pool to be responsible for your guests is not allowed.
It is not possible to reserve the entire pool for a private party. Pool Parties must be during normal pool hours (11am to 9pm).
- Pool parties may be held during normal pool hours (11am-9pm) as long as the number of total swimmers does not exceed 20.
- Parties are limited to 3 hours maximum.
- There can only be one party at a time.
- The cost, per lifeguard, is $20/hr.
